Pagosa Turkey Trot @ Yamaguchi Park
The Pagosa Turkey Trot is a 5k Walk/Run starting at Yamaguchi Park at 9am on November 28th. Come run and burn off some calories before you head to your Thanksgiving feast. This is a fun event for all fitness levels. Whether you are a competitive runner, a beginner, or just want something fun to do with the family before you eat, this is a great event for you. 9am. $25 Online Registration closes 11/27, $35 Day Of Registration - CASH OR CHECK ONLY.

Moonrise Cross Country Ski @ Cloman Park
Members and non-members welcome for these free events under the rising moon. Bring a headlamp or flashlight for back-up but be ready to turn the lights out and enjoy this fun and unique experience! At least beginner Classic cross country skiing experience required. There will be a short hill or two, but skiers are welcome to walk on the side of the groomed trail. The group will stay together. 5pm. Free!

Pagosa Nordic Club is participating in the Southwest Nordic Race Series - Six events in the Four Corners / San Juan Mountain region to crown the King and Queen of Nordic Skiing in the Southwest! The races are in Grand Mesa, Pagosa Springs, Chama, Flagstaff, Telluride and Durango. January 4th Pagosa Nordic Club - Cabin Fever Nordic Races @ 10am.

Skis and Saddles Skijor Pagosa
Skijor Pagosa is an adventure competition where horse and rider pull a skier as fast as possible through an obstacle course of jumps, gates and rings. Skijoring combines Pagosa Country's finest skiing heritage with its cowboy roots creating a fast and curious spectator's event. Participants compete for cash and prizes based on the fastest times.

Winterfest is brought to you by The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. This is an activity-packed weekend for the whole family in Pagosa! The Hot Air Balloon Mass Ascensions, Skijor, Sled Races, Cross Country Ski Clinic, Fat Bike Race, BB Gun Biathlon, the ever popular Penguin Plunge, and much more!

BB Gun Biathlon @ Yamaguchi Park
A unique, super-fun freestyle ski event in which participants can either classic or skate ski while target shooting with Red Ryder BB guns provided by the Pagosa Nordic Club. 10 seconds added for each shot missed during the race but no gun or shooting experience is needed. Parents can help the young ones cock and shoot. Kids really love this race! Prizes for the top finishers and best costumes along with participant drawing giveaways. Great fun for all ages! 9:15am. $5 members, $15 non-members.
